Palma de Mallorca ist eine ge-
schäftige und hoch attraktive Metropole. Mit traditionellen und mo- dernen Bars und zahlreichen guten Re- staurants. Auch zum Shopping findet man hier die richtigen Adressen. Dazu viel Kultur, Feste und Veranstaltungen. In der Balearen-Hauptstadt ist der nau- tische Tourismus zuhause – mehr als ein halbes Dutzend Marinas entlang des Paseo Marítimo beherbergen Eig- ner- und Charterschiffe gleichermaßen, spezialisierte Werften kümmern sich um Superyachten. Dazu liegen hier berühmte Klassiker, die man sonst nur aus Zeitschriften kennt. Bordwand an Bordwand mit rassigen Rennyachten, die hier bei vielen Regatten starten kön- nen, auch beim Jahreshöhepunkt An- fang August: der Copa del Rey. Wenn
Königscup und Sommer vorüber sind, schlägt die Stunde der nautischen Fachbetriebe, von denen Palma voll ist. Dann verschwinden viele Yachten zur Überholung unter weißen Planen.
Palma de Mallorca is a busy and
attractive Metropolis offering many traditional and modern bars and a great variety of restaurants. It’s a great shopping destination as well, and hosts a large variety of cultural events and festivals.
The capital Palma is also the hotspot of all nautical activities in the Balearic Islands - half a dozen marinas along the Paseo Marítimo offer berths for private and charter yachts alike, specialised shipyards care of superyachts.
Many classical yachts usually only seen
in magazines lay side by side, next to fast racing boats, ready to participate in one of the many regattas. Their high- light is the Copa del Rey, taking place around the 1st of August.
When summer and regattas have gone, the nautical business starts booming. Many superyachts come to Palma for service and maintenance – and for this purpose they disappear under white covers until the next spring.
